The Hatchery at Emory University provides a space for students to be innovators and entrepreneurs. Housed within a 15,000-square-foot collaboration space, The Hatchery offers mentoring and program support for all stages, from inspiration to learning to startups.
In addition to building a fun and inviting atmosphere, The Hatchery wanted the mural to also help communicate their mission. So, I established a list of words to guide the design’s imagery: brainstorms, inspiration, ideas, iteration, prototypes, seeding, nurturing, growth, and blooming. The Hatchery’s mascot, a sheep, makes a cameo as well.
